In this leather craft video I attempt to recreate a historically accurate leather western cowboy and money/cartridge belt rig based on the one found on page 101 of "Packing Iron: Gunleather of the Frontier West" by Richard C. Rattenbury. This is an excellent historical reference book for holster makers. Or those just interested in Old West history. Going off just one photo, I show the process of sketching out the general outline, making the pattern, revising the pattern, making the holster . . . revising the pattern again, etc.
