Let's Do Some Summer Rose Maintenance ⭐️ Training Climbers, Deadheading, and Pest Management

Today we are working on the roses. The Generous Gardener roses from ‪@david_austin_roses‬ on our Gothic arch have started sending up big shoots that need to be tied down. Up the ladder Christopher goes to train the canes and do some deadheading.

Next up is some maintenance on a newly planted Bathsheba climbing rose. A little training and deadheading get us ready to plant a new companion. The Rogoochi Clematis is a beautiful purple bell shaped flower that will perfectly complement the apricot rose flowers.

Then it is off to deadhead two more roses and finally treated our last rose of the day for aphids. We spray weekly with Captain Jack's Deadbug Brew in the evening after the bees have gone to sleep. Mixing it up in our Dewalt pump sprayer makes the job quick and easy.
