Released in November 1997, Diddy Kong Racing is a Mario Kart clone with boats, planes, and a story mode. It featured a roster of a bunch of characters made up on the spot, but nevertheless Rare would pick up a couple of them and give them their own series, including one of a decidedly different nature. Captured live during SDA's Summer Games Done Quick 2013 in which $255,160.62 in over 10000 individual donations to Doctors without Borders was raised (as of August 1st), making this the first time the $1,000,000 mark has been reached and surpassed for money raised by SDA charity marathons (in total across all marathons)!!!!
