The cryptocurrency Luna was valued at an all-time high of US$119 in April 2022, before crashing to below US$1 in May. Lai Yuen, 25, a fresh graduate who was co-president of the NUS Fintech Society and a crypto investor, saw his portfolio lose a six-figure value - approximately the cost of a sedan car in Singapore.
