𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐥
Meenal Tatpati is a researcher with a passion for forest governance and jurisprudence. Her early work focused on the Forest Rights Act in India, advocating for its implementation in Protected Areas and exploring the untapped potential of Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC). She has documented the stories of the women of Odisha’s Dongria Kondh and the Raika pastoralist community in Rajasthan. Meenal also coordinated India’s Community Forest Rights Learning and Advocacy Process and has been involved in global environmental justice networks like ACKNOWL-EJ. She holds an LLB and a Master's in Environmental Sciences and enjoys birdwatching and photography in her spare time.

'Voices Unveiled' is an audio podcast launched by Women4Biodiversity on December 2023. It is a platform for women's stories from different corners of the world. The podcast will release new episodes bi-monthly, with a dedicated focus on exploring the intersection of gender within the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KM-GBF).
