Played on the N64.
Recorded using a Dazzle DVC 100 and Pinnacle Studios 17.

I'm hoping to improve the quality or upload a better run soon! I'll also add either a description or annotations describing the thought process at key moments if some of my decisions aren't immediately obvious.

Things to keep in mind:

- I use the hold items available to you, mostly as backups to avoid dangerous situations. After a lot of trial and error, I put the berries on Pokemon that were exposed to specific status inducing moves and moves with added effects more often.

- The AI almost always uses its most effective move on the Pokemon that is currently on the battlefield before the turn begins. This was key in toxic stalling Zapdos, which is literally the only way I could think of beating it with the rentals. When you're low on HP, the AI will most likely use the move that covers multiple options just in case you decide to switch.

- Any switch that is counter intuitive is probably in defense of something more threatening. For example, switching Moltres into Poliwrath to dodge an incoming Fissure.

- I try to take the most beneficial action to win the battle in the long term. This explains why I try to use Thunder Wave first before attacking, and fodder off some Pokemon when I feel the perfect isn't possible.

- I didn't use Wobbuffet, or any Counter/Mirror Coat strategy, I thought it would be a little too easy.

- Basically, any surprise critical hit or unfavorable status condition will throw a wrench in everything. Sometimes it can be played around with a little luck, but most times it means a loss. Battles 4 and 7 are perfect examples. Especially against Kathy.

- Unfortunately, using moves without 100 accuracy can really mess things up, especially when considering Thunder's unreliable 70 accuracy. However, a 30% paralysis chance makes up for it and paralysis can save you if things go wrong. It's why Thunder Wave is so valuable.

- I got lucky a few times, namely against Kathy, who is arguably one of the toughest trainers to beat in the game. Disable with Slowbro actually makes it possible to bypass Suicune's damaging Surf, which would tear through this team otherwise. She can be beaten without luck, but the battle will be easier if you can land disable earlier.

- The final battle was a battle of many mistakes. One key mistake I made was switching Magneton in first against Raikou, right after Nidoqueen faints. I could have won without taking such a risk if I had sent Moltres in first instead. I could have endured the first hit, and THEN switch Magneton in as fodder to safely secure the win with a second endure by Moltres... but hey, isn't this victory much cooler?

I hope you enjoy the video!
