DNA and Tautomeric Shifts

Why does adenine sometimes pair with cytosine? HOW could that happen? Well, sometimes nucleobases (bases) misbehave, which leads to a lot of confusion for students (and often a mutation in the complementary strand!) It's called tautomerization, and I'll break it all down PenguinProf style!
