Spyro the Dragon | Any% Speedrun in

Glad to finally get this. I've wanted a sub 45 for a few years now, but never really like running the category much. It's grown on me I guess. My movement has surely gotten much better. Now I can at least say I sort of know what I'm doing in this game. While my goal was sub 45, my plan was to get it with rat proxy. In fact, since my last PB a few months ago, up until this attempt, I had ended all my runs with rat proxy attempts for a sub 45. I knew I was capable of it without rat, but up until this run I didn't have one that came together, so I didn't bother worrying about it. Plus, I've only been running one night a week, so my grind was pretty minimal. But when I finished Dream Weavers with a 41:35 split, I was pretty sure I had enough time to get it without rat. It was quite serendipitous, really.

It would have been cool to have a rat proxy pb, but honestly, it's probably better to have a sub 45 without it because it shows my movement is better. However I did have several paces that could have be 43 with a quick enough rat, so that's kinda sad. But again, sub 45 is all I've wanted.

I'm proud to now have reached all my Spyro Trilogy Any% goals, and the sum of my Any% PBs is now sub 1:25, something only 13 or so other people have achieved, so that's pretty cool.
