Castle Crashers - How to Get the Rubber Handle Sword

The rubber handle sword is a weapon in Castle Crashers that was patched out of the game soon after its release. From then on, the only way to obtain the weapon was to swap it with the few players who possessed it. There was no actual, legit way, other than trading, of obtaining the weapon... not until a recent update that patched it into the game. As of the date this video was uploaded, it is not possible to dig the 'x' in the original version of the game (solo at least).

To obtain the rubber handle sword, you will need a shovel to dig it up from inside the home castle the orange princess is in (right after defeating the final boss). Beneath the staircase toward the entrance/exit, you will see a thief shooting unlimited arrows. Between him and his target, you will find the 'x' that contains the sword. As demonstrated in the video, you can dig it up in either single player or co-op.
