How to install wordpress on localhost

In this video, I’ll show you how to install WordPress on your local computer using XAMPP. This tutorial is perfect for beginners who want to set up a local development environment to test and develop their WordPress sites before making them live.

First, we’ll download and install XAMPP from the official website, followed by a step-by-step installation process on Windows. Next, I’ll guide you through starting the necessary Apache and MySQL services in the XAMPP Control Panel.

Once XAMPP is up and running, we’ll move on to downloading WordPress from the official site. I’ll show you how to extract the WordPress files and place them in the XAMPP 'htdocs' folder. After that, we’ll create a new database for WordPress using phpMyAdmin.

Finally, we’ll run the WordPress installation, configure the database settings, and complete the setup. By the end of this tutorial, you’ll be able to log into your new local WordPress site.

Installing WordPress on localhost is a great way to create a safe testing environment, practice and improve your WordPress skills, and work on your site without needing an internet connection.
