LEADIN:

Chinese tech company ZTE unveiled their new Nubia Pad 3D and Nubia Neovision AR glasses at MWC in Barcelona.

The Nubia Pad 3D is the world’s first naked-eye 3D tablet based on AI technology, while the Neovision AR glasses are the first smart glasses with TUV Rheinland certification.

STORYLINE:

It was all about 3D at the ZTE presentation at MWC in Barcelona.

The Chinese tech company unveiled two innovative products - a 3D tablet and 3D smart glasses.

The Nubia Pad 3D was created by ZTE in collaboration with American 3D technology research company Leia Inc.

“Nubia Pad 3D redefines 3D with AI. It offers a wonderful eyewear-free 3D visual effect," says Ni Fei, Senior Vice President/President of Mobile Services at ZTE.

The tablet was created using Leia’s 3D light field display technology.

“I don’t think 3D in its sense is new, but the way we do it is new and I think that is what we are showing to you today," says Cecilia Qvist, the CEO Leia Inc.

What makes the Nubia Pad 3D different is its powerful AI computing capabilities and 3D applications.

"We are using AI in order to deliver an experience that you haven’t seen before, together with a very, very powerful technology,” says Qvist.

As well as watching content in 3D, users can also create in 3D.
