First, the Caldera frame is 100% made up of recycled fishing nets. Each frame in the Untangled collection is made from old fishing nets that are collected and broken down into little pellets. These pellets can be used for injection molding purposes and in return we have the Untangled collection.

Second, the Caldera frame has PlusFoam on the nose bridge and at the end of the temples. Instead of the typical hydrolite material, PlusFoam can be recycled and it will provide the same comfortable fit. The Caldera is considered an M fit by Costa.

Continuing this train of sustainability, Costa used recycled aluminum for the logo on the side of the temples. Essentially everything about the Costa Caldera sunglasses can be recycled and repurposed.
