Vincent & Catherine: Made to Last (Beauty & the Beast)

Описание к видео Vincent & Catherine: Made to Last (Beauty & the Beast)

In which Catherine attempts to persuade Vincent that she really does love him just the way he is, and that she is in it for the long haul.

The song used is 'Made to Last' by Sara Niemietz.

I've actually spliced two versions of the song together, as one had the atmosphere I wanted for the beginning of the video and the other had the right atmosphere for the ending.

So roughly the first 2/3 is the original version from the album 'Get Right', but the last 1/3 is the version from the live album 'Twenty-Twenty' (with the applause cut off the end – although I suspect many fans do want to applaud when Catherine finally kisses Vincent!)

Sara is an independent artist, and I use her work here by kind permission of her good self.

And of course, you can always buy her music from iTunes!

This video uses clips from the 1980s CBS TV Show 'Beauty and the Beast', created by Ron Koslow, starring Ron Perlman and Linda Hamilton.

The clip with dialogue at the end is from the episode 'The Watcher', written by Linda Campanelli and MM Shelley Moore, and directed by Victor Lobl.

Several snippets are taken from the episodes:

– 'A Fair and Perfect Knight', written by P.K. Simonds, Jr. and directed by Gus Trikonis.

– 'A Kingdom by the Sea', written by George R.R. Martin and directed by Gus Trikonis.

Various brief snippets are taken from multiple other episodes from seasons 1 & 2.

FAIR USE ARGUMENTS:

1) The use is transformative, creating a new work in its own right
2) It comments on the original
3) It adds new meaning and messages to the original
4) It does not deprive the owner of the source material of income
5) It may - and hopefully will! - work as free advertisement and promotion of the original source material
6) It does not attempt to substitute for the original work
7) It is not a commercial venture
