In this video we discuss about:
Fundus (retina, optic disc, macula lutea)
-} Optic disc - situated superomedially (nasally), pale, vascular (contains central retinal artery)
-} Macula lutea - situated inferolaterally, yellowish, avascular (cz it gets it's blood supply from choriocapillaries), has a depression (fovea centralis)

Fovea centralis has maximum concentration of cones hence it is a point of highest visual acuity

Optic disc its also known as the head of optic nerve it sits right in front of lamina cribrosa
Lamina cribrosa is a very weak point, its in sclera and has holes that allow optic fibres to pass through

Blood supply
Ophthalmic artery branches into --} Central retinal artery and in optic disc it further branches into --} superior and inferior branches which each further branch into --} nasal and temporal branches
Outer part of retina is supplied by choriocapillaris
and Inner part of retina is supplied by central retinal artery

Optic disc = blind spot
Fovea centralis = point of highest visual acuity
(its a depression in macula lutea)
