The Haw d'Malakhe chant is a central part of nearly all Syriac Orthodox feast day celebrations, including those of the Ma'de'dono (the Cycle of Feasts). This sacred ritual involves the blessing of the four cardinal directions—East, West, North, and South. During the chant, the priest sings a line, and the congregation responds with a line from the Trisagion (Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal). The chant concludes with the Aboon d'Bashmayo (Our Father in Heaven), the Lord's Prayer, creating a deeply spiritual and communal moment of worship.
