‫שפֿרה לאָווען איז אויפֿגעוואַקסן בײַ אַ חסידישער משפּחה, חתונה געהאַט, און דערצויגן אַ משפּחה אין קרית‫ טאָהש. דאָרט פֿלעגט זי שרײַבן אַרטיקלען פֿאַר חסידישע זשורנאַלן, און צושטעלן גראַמען פֿאַר קאָמפּאָנירטע ייִדיש־לידער וואָס מע האָט געזונגען אין מיידל־קעמפּן און ־שולעס, ווי אויך פֿאַר מוזיקדיסקן אויף וועלכע מענער־זינגערס זינגען אירע לידער. צום סוף האָט זי פֿאַרלאָזט די חסידישע קהילה. הײַנט וווינט זי מיט איר משפּחה אין מאָנטרעאָל.

‪‪Shifra Lowen grew up in a Hasidic family, married, and raised a family in Kiryas Tosh. During her time there, she passionately engaged in writing and composing Yiddish songs, crafting songs for girls' camps and schools, and even for music discs featuring male vocalists. ‪However, her life took a new turn when she decided to leave her community. Today, she resides in Montreal with her entire family.
