সাভারে দুর্ঘটনার কবলে পড়া একটি এ্যাম্বুলেন্স ও দুইটি বাসে আগুন লেগে ৪ জন নিহত হয়েছে। রাত দুইটার দিকে ঢাকা-আরিচা মহাসড়কে, সাভারের ফুলবাড়িয়া পুলিশ টাউনের সামনে ঢাকামুখী লেনে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। পুলিশ জানায়, একটি যাত্রীবাহী বাসকে পেছন থেকে সজোরে ধাক্কা দেয় একটি অ্যাম্বুলেন্স। এতে গাড়ি দু'টিতে আগুন লেগে যায়। পরে আরও একটি বাসে ছড়িয়ে পড়ে সেই আগুন। খবর পেয়ে ফায়ার সার্ভিসের একাধিক টিম ঘটনাস্থলে গিয়ে এক ঘণ্টার চেষ্টায় আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনে। তবে ততক্ষণে আগুনে তিনটি যানই পুড়ে যায়। এসময় অগ্নিদগ্ধ অবস্থায় চারজনের মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার করে ফায়ার সার্ভিস। তবে তাদের পরিচয় এখনও নিশ্চিত হওয়া যায়নি। প্রাথমিকভাবে পুলিশের ধারণা, অ্যাম্বুলেন্সের গ্যাস সিলিন্ডার বিস্ফোরণ থেকেই আগুনের সূত্রপাত।


Four people were killed when an ambulance and two buses caught fire in an accident in Savar. The incident took place around 2 am on the Dhaka-Aricha highway, in front of Fulbaria Police Town in Savar, in the Dhaka-bound lane. Police said an ambulance hit a passenger bus from behind. The two vehicles caught fire. Later, the fire spread to another bus. Upon receiving the information, multiple fire service teams rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after an hour of effort. However, by then all three vehicles were burnt in the fire. The fire service recovered the bodies of four people in a burnt condition. However, their identities have not been confirmed yet. Initially, the police believe that the fire started from the explosion of a gas cylinder in the ambulance.
