On the 10th November 2016 we celebrated our new name, new visual identity and the launch of the new UCL Culture Manifesto.

Our launch showcased how we mobilise and amplify the work of academics and students from across UCL. It also sparked conversations around the challenges posed by our manifesto, with people from within and outside the university.

When we open our doors, we open our minds. When people, ideas and influences mix, sparks fly.

During the event we experienced a specially commissioned performance - inspired by the Manifesto, by Naomi Fitzsimmons - from the Slade School of Art, got to see other pieces by Slade students, Will Sprately, Arthur Poujois, and Jake Elwes. We were caught up in Gary Steven's 'Outburst' performed by other students from the Slade School of Art. We heard poetry from Simon Barraclough from his residency at the Mullard Space Centre, witnessed Oscar Kennedy from the UCL London Centre of Nanotechnology create a vacuum in a jam jar and heard from Dr Chiara Ambrosio about her collaboration with improvised opera company Impropera.
