Scarification, circumcision, physical torture, marrying girls as young as six, and selling little girls all made the list. Our cultural practices are not all good. In fact, many qualify as barbaric. 

Traditions cannot justify or mask evil because they are man-made. Men make mistakes—thus, any structure designed by men should be opened for improvement or discontinued altogether.
