New England Southern Railroad 1990

The following scenes were shot by former New England Southern conductor Bruce Davison in 1990 and converted from videotape.

The first segment is an equipment move on August 5, 1990. Ex-North Stratford Alco S1, an ex-North Stratford boxcar and a former U.S. Army Kitchen Car (also from the North Stratford Railroad) are run to Lakeport, NH. They had been purchased by the Hobo Railroad following the closure of the North Stratford Railroad. Ted Larter's Maine Central caboose is along for the ride.

The second segment follows the New England Southern as they run excursions between Northfield and the Rt. 140 crossing in Tilton. Later in the day the train runs to Laconia.
