In this video, in a lighthearted fashion, we uncover the the medals awarded to Private Frazer, played by John Laurie. From his medals we learn Frazer was on the Nimrod Expedition under Ernest Shackleton and fought at the Battle of Jutland.

A spendthrift, Frazer's financial management would consist of hoarding gold coins in a funeral urn and overcharging fellow platoon members for services, in addition to constantly undermining the leadership of Captain Mainwaring.
