Dolpo Region Trekking- Lower Dolpo Trek and | Phoksundo Lake |

Regulus recommends Lower Dolpa Trek if you wish crowd less trekking trail & want to go for remote trekking in Nepal. Lower Dolpa is almost unexposed area of Nepal and due to this it is almost isolated from the country as well as the world. But, the positivity of this (being isolated) is that the destination is able to preserve its unique culture and identity for instance, Bon Po religion. Lack of infrastructure and developments also pushed this area far away for the reach of modern developments. Trekking in the Dolpo region has its own attraction, people here still lead an unevolved life, yet they are loyal & friendly. Trek to Lower Dolpo still offers opportunity to meet the people and their style of living almost untouched and unexplored.

Blue pine, spruce, cypress, poplar, fir and birch are the main species of plants witnessed here. The greenery of jungles here inhabit different species of animals like snow leopard, musk deer, Himalayan thar, goral, serow, Himalayan black bear, Himalayan weasel, Himalayan mouse hare, yellow-throated marten, languor, rhesus monkeys and Tibetan wolf.

Birds like Impeyan pheasant (the national bird of Nepal), blood pheasant, cheer pheasant, red and yellow billed cough, raven, jungle crow, snow patridge among other are decorating the jungle of Lower Dolpo.
