I posted a video of this snowblower in 2017. originally purchased at Home depot around 2011.
Heres an update with a new video:
Its 2025, and Im still using it. I did take it for a tuneup to my small machine mechanic about 5 years ago. He told me it had a scored cylinder (and showed it to me) and I should plan to get a new one as apparently you cant just replace the sleeve and piston (disappointing from a Toro). he said it was likely from using gas without pre-mix in it. That puzzles me, bc Ive been around 2 strokes machines my whole life, but I guess a mistake could happen.
As the electric starter also had corroded and no longer worked I figured I would just use it until it dies as I only use this about 10x a year. As you can see it is still running Im very happy with its performance, esp how light and maneuverable it is, and the rubber paddles clean right down to the asphalt.
I will continue to use it until it dies, then I will probably get an electric model if they arent too expensive. Im still kind of disappointed that parts arent available from a reputable brand to repair this.
