While all of us do love to talk about 80s action movies, I would also be remiss to not bring Hong Kong films into such conversations. Hong Kong's action industry in the 80s was unstoppable, and there's definitely a thing or two that can be learned from them when it comes to making great fight scenes. So here's a video essay analysis of why exactly Hong Kong action cinema kicked ass in the 1980s!
