*** Peter Sinclair "Marc" Almond é um cantor inglês. Nasceu em Southport, Lancashire em 09/07/1957.
Ficou conhecido por sua voz e imagem andrógina à frente do "Soft Cell".
A carreira de Almond, ao longo de 4 décadas, teve aclamação crítica e comercial e ele vendeu mais de 30 milhões de discos em todo o mundo.
Foi nomeado Oficial da Ordem do Império Britânico nas Honras de Ano Novo de 2018 por serviços à arte e à cultura.
Afirmou que não gosta de ser um artista "gay", dizendo que tal rótulo "permite que as pessoas marginalizem seu trabalho. Eu sou um cantor que por acaso é gay".
