also, special thanks to 'sahm2twins' who had this brilliant idea to do a vid about Scully's much debated immortality and its consequences-- thanks for the inspiration girl, hope it turned out as you envisioned.

(now brace yourselves, because there is a tidal wave of explaination coming for this one)

this is AU in the purest sense-- basically its a visual fanfic. Here is the story as I imagined, the concise version! :
Scully has become immortal following Felig 'taking her place' in Tithonius...Mulder ages and eventually dies along with everyone she knows, but she remains, trapped in time. She is starting to lose it a bit (and who wouldn't- how horrifying!) ...so Scully goes back to the house they once shared together that sits empty now and remembers things from a long ago past that haunt her every moment in the present. She remembers the time when she was all too mortal and wanted nothing more than to live...now she wants nothing more than to find a way to be reunited with Mulder.
although this is 90% Scully pov, there is alittle from Mulder in here- basically cuz I thought it would be interesting to suggest that at the moment she becomes 'immortal', a split reality is created where she has actually died from cancer...like the universe is trying to balance itself out somehow (a physics thing I read made me think of this) also thought it would be an opportunity for double the angsty goodness because in one universe Scully is longing for Mulder and in another, he is longing for her.... :( I also wanted to suggest that she is with someone else, but really unhappy because her heart isn't in it.... a girl gets lonely u know!

she becomes obsessed with finding a way back to Mulder, and remember, Scully reinterpreted Einstein's twin paradox, which is a paradox precisely about time travel...so I like to think she could do it--- (lets face it, she can do anything including google neurosurgery-- lol!)

*another important note- the 'ouroboros' (snake biting its tail) symbolizes immortality- (really, look it up!!) it also represents cyclical nature of time, or time that circles back on itself...this is important to the story.

so hard to do au, because you are reformulating a whole story but without the aid of much explanation, so they can become confusing in a hurry-- I always struggle with them...Louisa, if it sucks, I am sorry, but Happy Birthday anyway!!
