Intermittent fasting: It is not about starving yourself; it is all about timely eating!
You do not have to eat every two to three hours once to provide glucose to your body for it to function properly. Our body is very much capable of utilizing stored fat for the normal functioning when there is no food available, in turn helping weight loss.
When you do not give any food to your body after 12 hours of your last meal, your body enter a fat burning mechanism where it utilizes your stored fat to provide energy.

If you don’t do any work, I mean if you are simply lying down on your couch not doing anything, your body still requires at least 1500 to 2000 calories for functioning normally, so when you restrict the time you feed yourself, your body doesn’t have any choice other than utilizing he stored fat.
That is what happens during intermittent fasting: your body works as a fat burning machine when you are fasting.

Different methods for intermittent fasting:
- Fasting for 16 hours a day (16/08)
- Fasting for 2 days a week (5:2)
- Alternate day fasting
- A weekly 24-hour fast.
