One Life to Live 11/23/1990

Megan, already running late for work, gets stuck in her bathroom when the doorknob comes off in her hand. Jake takes Charlotte to a place he rented for them to live together. Max tells Gabrielle the Intruder indicates the police might know who else was at Llanfair on the night Johnny was shot. Gabrielle is rattled when he says they have the 9-1-1 call and know it was a woman who called. Alex meets Bo at the Fraternity Row set. He’s distracted and worried about Megan, who hasn’t shown up for work. Bo calls Jake who says he hasn’t heard from Megan today. They’re worried she may have done something drastic, so Jake heads over to Megan’s place to check on her and Bo calls the police to meet him there, just in case. Jake arrives at Megan’s loft to find her stuck in the bathroom but otherwise unscathed. When the police arrive, Megan realizes that Jake and Bo thought she might harm herself, and she is upset that they jumped to that conclusion. She tells Jake to leave and to stay away. Gabrielle plays Julia the now-doctored version of the tape she took from Tina’s bedroom. Her section has been completely removed, but the rest of the audio remains intact. She asks Julia for a cash advance to help her pay for the work she had done on the tape. Andy gives Max a hard time for not spending any of Thanksgiving with her. He can sense she’s upset about something else, and guilts her into telling him about the second mortgage Gabrielle took out on the bar. Max doesn’t know what his wife was thinking, but he promises Andy will not lose the bar. He heads home to get some answers.

Bo auditions K Funk Mob for an appearance on Fraternity Row. Rika shows up to write about the audition for the Banner. Troy shows up, incensed that Kerry didn’t get on the plane to Boston like he was supposed to. After the group performs, Bo is delighted, but Troy tells him his son is leaving for college today and won’t be available for the show. Bo gives the father and son some alone-time to work things out. Kerry offers a compromise: he’s going to stay in Llanview and attend Llanview University next semester. Kerry tells Bo that he will be in town, attending L.U. and is available to do the show. Bo tell him he and the group are hired. Max comes home to find Gabrielle still playing with the tape recorder. He gives her an opportunity to tell him anything she’s been keeping from him, but Gabrielle doesn’t bite. When Megan arrives at the studio, Bo tells her he got an inquiry from a Hollywood director who might have a feature film role for her. Meanwhile in Hollywood, an actor named Tanner is taking publicity shots for his next film. He tells the photographer he’ll be directing the film in addition to starring in it, and he thinks it will be be big hit so long as he can get Megan Gordon to play his leading lady.
