Testing the Jones Mind Expander Twin

I ride the long awaited Jones Mind Expander Twin!


The Mind Expander has been an extremely popular, and successful freeride board in the Jones line up for many years now. Ever since its debut, fans have requested a twin version.


Although this board is an extremely limited special edition for late release 2021, it will be available in higher quantity come the 2022 season.


This board is loose, skatey and agile, with tonnes of nose and tail to butter on. I myself, still preferred it in a more set back stance, considering most of my riding is directional. Having said that, it was super fun to rip this board in switch, and adding that bit of camber to the twin over the regular version helps it to hold on.


I ride it in my most trusted proving grounds- the Andreas Woods, and even find some half decent powder in the trees!



Over all I think I still prefer the normal version of the Mind Expander, but I could see how this would be a great board to bring park elements into the back country.


Super stoked that I got to test this sucker out, and feeling very lucky that I had access to it before Whistler shut down for the season.
