December 23 can be a hard time to have a birthday! During Covid when I was doing so much online singing ,every December I had a special birthday concert, usually with multiple other wonderful guest artists. I got to sing some of my favorite songs about my childhood and my dark winter birth time.. ou can browse through my playlist on my channel called Online Community Singing and enjoy 4 years of online community song with me.

This year I didn't have the energy or focus to do ia live/online concert, but instead I had fun today just creating this little collage of three different songs recorded from other events, two of which are about my birth and childhood, one of which is about being an elder grandma activist.
(Oh by the way, I am a new grandma! My first, born this November 26, named Rowan Amelia Rose Stark!!!)

I recorded very casually today a little bit of introductions and messaging to you all so it sounds about as live as a pre-recorded video and sound.

We are organizing, rising, resisting, creating, and I have tremendous faith in the people to take back the best of what a society can be for people.. Not the system we had, that did not serve enough of us, but something we've been dreaming and working toward and creating in small pockets and corners for a long time.
