Welcome back to the channel on today’s video we’re gonna be fixing a toilet and doing a full rebuild and I’m gonna give you a step-by-step guide on how to bend your copper pipe perfect right every single time.

The customer called me out because the toilet had a broken flush mechanism and I really hate these type of siphon and fill valves so I’m gonna be replacing it with the product from viva the reason why I go ahead and swap them out is that in further years time I’m able to easily replace as these are readily available to me I don’t have to run around and try and look for different type of siphons. I know exactly which ones they are and what parts to fit it straight from the top.

After removing system from the toilet full strip down of parts is needed a good cleanup. I’m ready to make in the new parts using silicone. No this is just my preferred way what I like to do is use the washers underneath on the inside of the valves and then on the underside of the system because there is a gap that’s left. I like to just fill this up using a bit of silicon and that not only stops any imperfections on the toilet but also keeps the parts in place so that when we go ahead and do maintenance on the valves from above they don’t move when you’re twisting them.

I removed the old toilet connectors which are plastic and we’re gonna be replacing it with some new connector from Viega. This fitting is a press fitting, but it has a tap connector end which allows me to screw up onto a flat face using a nice rubber washer.. these fittings have good surface area which allows the connection to be really good much rather than the fibre washers which are really thin and break easily over time.

I’m giving you a step-by-step guide on how to bend copper pipe perfect every time there is a unique formula that we can use while we’re bending sets of 30° 45° and 60 . You just need to work out the distance between times it by the number on the formula put your two marks on the copper pipe and bend them on a spot on your pipe benders this does work for your normal pipe benders as well as the ones from Monument, which I’m using in the video.

I install my usual isolator valve which is a leave a valve with a butterfly handle. I do wish that they make these a little bit more aesthetically pleasing but I do believe that the function outweigh to look especially in an emergency where the customer is able to turn it off without using any tools. So with the work done and the toilet fully tested, it’s time to pack up and get out of here.
