BJP-run municipal corporation made Delhi ‘dustbin full of garbage:’ AAP MLA Atishi

AAP Aadmi Party MLA Atishi Singh, on Friday, accused the Bhartiya Janata Party-led Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) of not maintaining governance and said that if BJP couldn’t manage MCD, they should immediately leave it; AAP could take if ahead from there.

Singh said the while addressing a press conference a day after Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, released Rs 938 crore as grant to MCD to pay their employees, who were not paid for the last eight months.

“Since the last six years, the Delhi government gave more than Rs 6,000 crore to MCD and they haven’t returned a single penny," said Atishi.

"Due to BJP corporators, MCD is bankrupt; they barely have funds to survive but leaders running it have converted their lives into a fortune,” she added.

“MCD has made Delhi a dustbin full of garbage; corruption is the only achievement of MCD,” she added.
