Browser System design 👽

Most of the time, we write frontend code using frameworks and libraries. But the browser does a lot of work underneath that we rarely think about. In this video, we explore browser system design :- not from an API perspective, but from a systems and architecture perspective. We’ll cover: • Why browsers need isolation and security • How iframes create execution and security boundaries • How isolated systems communicate using postMessage • How browsers handle execution and scheduling • Why Web Workers exist • How decoupled architectures and micro frontends work • Why Service Workers exist and how they enforce network policy If you understand these concepts, you’ll start writing code the way the browser expects — not just the way a framework allows.
