Celebrating 100 Years of NY State Parks

Описание к видео Celebrating 100 Years of NY State Parks

On April 18, 2024, NY State Parks turned 100 years old! To commemorate the 1924 State Park Act, special Centennial flags were raised at parks and historic sites, while Commissioner Pro Tempore Randy Simons reflected on the important role of early philanthropists, speaking at George Washington’s Headquarters Historic Site and Saratoga Spa State Park. As day turned to night, monuments across the state were illuminated green and gold honoring our legacy of stewardship over New York's public lands.

Join in on the year-long celebration by visiting your local state park, taking on the Centennial Challenge, and sharing your favorite state park memories. https://www.parks.ny.gov/100 #SeeYoutOutThere
