What happened to Oleg and what's happening to him now
is absolutely medieval.
I'm afraid there's nothing new about it.
What's happening doesn't strike as new or original.
There have been examples in history
when freedom of thought, or just thought, was suppressed,
artists and thinkers who thought differently were sent to prison.
This is a totally show trial.
The question is: 
will justice ever triumph and will the guilty be punished?
I'm afraid not. 
Because to all these people 
that are deciding the fates of millions of people today,
these sentiments are obviously unknown.
Because they are gamblers of a big casino, of a big roulette.
These thoughts and feelings do not come to their minds and souls.
They got away with many things: 1933, 1937, 1939 and many, many more –
plane shootdowns, annexions, wars, and Oleg Sentsov as well.
But something else is important: Oleg, whom I don't know personally 
and have never seen –
I saw his film "Gaamer" in the competition of the Odessa Festival,
while I was in the national competition –
I'm not going to talk about the film... 
but Oleg's look, his eyes, his face tell 
that he is a strong person and he'll endure it all.
I believe in it.
I hope that one day we'll be applauding Oleg 
as he'll be going up to the stage.
I think things are not easy for him now,
as well as for his family.
I want Oleg Sentsov to be released.
I think he will be released sooner or later.
And he'll endure everything.
