Bleak Faith: Forsaken Review [CFM Radio]

Our esteemed DJ and co-host of the show Drix played the PS5 port of the #scifi #soulslike Bleak Faith Forsaken from Archangel Studios.

While not perfect and visually inconsistent, Bleak Faith Forsaken succeeds in shaking up the familiar formula by streamlining a few elements while leveraging its better moments and unique elements. With exploration that incorporates platforming, light crafting, claustrophobic atmosphere and snappy combat that only stops to make sure you know how hard you're hitting each enemy, the game is sure to be a hit with anyone who's familiar with the genre.

However, inconsistent audio and visual presentation and camera issues may hold this one back from resonating with everyone. Combined with a setting that plays it safe with the genre, Bleak Faith Forsaken doesn't feel like it breaks much new ground other than its engaging incorporation of unique platforming elements.
