This question brings together a bit of algebra and trig. We need to use our knowledge of the double-angle identities to figure out how one expression is related to another. For one of the questions we also do some good old trig-on-the-Cartesian-plane diagram-drawing vibes. Tune in if you want some tips about how to spot which identities to use to solve a problem — like I often say (ok I don’t know if I do say this often but I definitely think it often 😂), a lot of the time the big challenge with Level 3 or 4 questions is figuring out how to start.
