Hurricane Helene Relief - Providing Homes for Displaced Families

In the wake of Hurricane Helena, families across Transylvania County are facing unimaginable loss. Freida Fisher bravely shares her story of losing her home and her relief at receiving a donated camper from Operation Helo. Freida is one of hundreds now displaced, navigating life in temporary shelters or with friends, as they work toward stability.

Together, our community has set up a safe site for three campers donated by Operation Helo on Transylvania Habitat property. Local businesses, like Corn Plumbing, are donating their services to assist. But our work is far from over. As we transition from emergency response to long-term recovery, we need your help to ensure every family finds a stable place to live.
