Synergy is an interaction or cooperation giving rise to a whole that is greater than the simple sum of its parts (i.e., a non-linear addition of force, energy, or effect). The term synergy comes from the Attic Greek word συνεργία synergia from synergos, συνεργός, meaning "working together".
Dialogue at beginning is from the maiden voyage of the Orion spacecraft from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station's Space Launch Complex 37 atop a Delta IV Heavy rocket, and one of the very few Delta IV Heavy launches. The Orion spacecraft's maiden voyage, also known as Exploration Flight Test-1 (EFT-1), took place on December 5, 2014.
