Ready for the ultimate Hong Kong hiking challenge? Join me and my fruend Indra on an epic journey across Sections 7 and 8 of the legendary MacLehose Trail, captured on a breathtakingly beautiful sunny autumn day!

This is where the trail gets serious. We take on the iconic trio of peaks that define the New Territories skyline:

⛰ NEEDLE HILL (532m): The steep, relentless climb that tests your legs from the get-go. Famous for its sharp, "needle-like" ascent and stunning 360-degree views of Shing Mun Reservoir and beyond.

🌾 GRASSY HILL (647m): The "breezy" reward. After Needle Hill, we traverse the rolling, golden grasslands of this high plateau. Feel the cool wind on your face as we walk the narrow paths with Kowloon and the cityscape as our backdrop.

☁️ TAI MO SHAN (957m): The roof of Hong Kong! Our final climb to the highest peak in the region. On this crystal-clear autumn day, the visibility is endless—see all the way to Shenzhen, Lantau Island, and the rolling hills of the Geopark.

THIS HIKE FEATURES:
• A total distance of ~15km with serious elevation gain
• The most dramatic and rewarding views on the MacLehose Trail
• Perfect autumn hiking conditions: cool, dry air, golden sunlight, and crystal clarity
• Rugged trails, stone steps, and exposed ridges
• The iconic "QR Code" stones and the WWII pillbox on Grassy Hill
• The mist-shrouded (but not today!) radar station on Tai Mo Shan summit

Essential Info:
➡️ Route: MacLehose Trail Section 7 (Shing Mun to Lead Mine Pass) & Section 8 (Lead Mine Pass to Tai Mo Shan Rd)
➡️ Difficulty: Hard (due to sustained climbs and distance)
➡️ Time: ~5-7 hours at a steady pace
