If you're under the impression that this video is in -72 fps, that's because it is. I recorded this with my crappy webcam and tried to make something out of it with my very limited editing skills. But I think the audio is decent, so there you have it: my vocal cover of the two iconic opening tracks of Nightwish's 2011 release Imaginaerum. At the end of the day it's just me singing karaoke in my room, but I wanted to put something out there that shows my "metal side" a bit more, and Nightwish is my favorite band ever.


Disclaimer, I am not a native finnish speaker (nor english speaker for that matter), so I hope that the lyrics of Taikatalvi are at least understandable. If you're finnish, please be indulgent. I took the time to really dive into the meaning of each word, so even if it's not perfect it is very sincere and heartfelt.
That being said if you're a native english speaker and think my pronunciation on Storytime is bad you are allowed to roast me ;)


I was recording backing vocals for this when the news hit that Marco Hietala is leaving Nightwish and withdrawing from the forthcoming tour. I have nothing but respect and admiration for his work with the band, so I hope this cover can channel at least 1% of his talent.
