This is a math lesson/experiment. I am a math teacher, not a political analyst or accountant. There are definitely some parts of taxes that were not considered while making this lesson. Primarily FICA which is a 15% tax starting at the first cent you earn working, and only on the first 117,000 you make, which makes the numbers hugely skewed to further make the point that is made in this video.

Using data collected from several sources I did some math to calculate what a flat tax would need to be to maintain the income of our country in taxes. This video also shows the impact of a flat tax on each tax bracket.
