RA Live: Sudan Archives in LA | Resident Advisor

Sudan Archives sits at the nexus of Los Angeles old and new. She's one of the youngest signings to Stones Throw, a legendary label that has helped shape the city's beat scene over the years. Armed with a violin and a sampler, Sudan Archives makes music infused with neo-soul warmth and backpacker hip-hop, but with a distinctly modern R&B sensibility. She only has one stunning five-track EP to her name, though as this live set shows, the promising Angeleno already has a captivating set of tracks up her sleeve. We invited her to perform live during our NTS collaboration, which took place as part of our Community Connections series in Los Angeles.
