In this video, Carnie talks about how to make more fine grained distinctions within categories through subcategories and features. He gives examples of features and subcategories for a bunch of different parts of speech, but does a deep dive into the subcategories of verbs that are distinguished by their argument structure (e.g. intransitive, transitive, and ditransitive).
