The Beauty of The Young Pope

When I say 'The Young Pope is my favorite' I don't mean it's my favorite TV show. It's my favorite work of art ever made. As a German critic whose name I can't remember once said: "Regardless of how big your screen is, The Young Pope will always be bigger."

It's hard if not impossible to truly catch the beauty of 9 hours in just 4 minutes and I had to leave some of my favorite scenes unused but that only gives you a reason to (re)watch The Young Pope!

I started this video at last year and finally took the time to finish it today. Despite barely editing anything and using no coloring (to keep it as close to the original as possible and to not distract from its beauty) this was more work than expected. Manipulating the speed to get the timing right at 01:49 was... something.


Anyway, watch The Young Pope. Seriously.
