Adept No.2 Shaping Machine PART 1 Re-Commissioning, Review & Modifications.
I've been looking for 2 1/2 Years for one of these Rarer Antique Powered Ram Powered Cross Feed Models as a new addition to my workshop
They were built between 1930 & early 1960's, by the Portass Family at Abbeydale Rd. Sheffield UK, The Adept No.1 version is smaller and hand powered, the No. 2 came in production later, hand powered, with the Rarer No2A with Powered Ram & auto feed cross slide, near the end of the production 1950's ? onwards.
A Great Looking Hobbyist's Shaping machine. I am going to re commission, maintenance, light restoration, review, specifications, and modify the homemade base / stand to look and imitate a larger shaping machine.
