Описание к видео Let’s Play: Pokémon White Part 9 - Gym Leader Burgh

The 3rd gym leader of the game is Burgh, who specializes in Bug-type Pokémon. His team consists of Whirlipede, Dwebble, and Leavanny.

For an early-game Bug-type specialist, Burgh himself is pretty solid, better than people credit him for. His team is well-balanced, with Dwebble serving as a solid check for Fire-types and Flying-types with its Rock-typing, while his ace, Leavanny, easily deals with Rock-types and Water-types that beat Dwebble with its Grass moves. Whirlipede ties the team together with some type diversity synergy too.
If you picked Tepig though, this will not be a hard fight. While Dwebble does take neutral damage from Fire and Fighting moves, Pignite can learn Rollout to exploit its Rock weakness, which allowed it to hit Burgh’s entire team for super-effective damage. Since Rollout was still going, it ended up being how Pignite one-shot Leavanny instead of using Flame Charge. Setting up Rollout was a bit annoying though, since Dwebble used Sand-Attack once to drop Pignite’s accuracy, but at least it didn’t miss after that. In case you didn’t pick Tepig, you can also use Darumaka, who you can catch on Route 4, as it gets Fire Punch at an early level. Just be wary that it’s going to miss sometimes due to Hustle cutting its accuracy and unlike with Pignite, Dwebble can actually hit Darumaka for super-effective damage due to it not having a dual-type to cancel out its Rock weakness.

This is also the only time that I’ve gone through a gym battle without the final Pokémon theme playing at all. Strange, isn’t it?
