Huzzah! I was finally able to get the Burton Deep Daze into my favorite powder filled terrain- Khyber Pass!


Unlike the previous day that I had ridden this board, today was a powder day, with fresh lines to be had in the woods. That meant that I got to fully test the capability of the 3D contours, and hydrodynamic channels that are on the Burton Deep Daze, in the conditions they were designed for.


The surf inspired channels became far more noticeable in deeper conditions, and I would say that they definitely added another level of "feel" to the board. They really help to maintain power and grip through turns, while also allowing you to really sluff out speed if you are in tighter lines where you need to really control the board.


I'm having a blast on this board, and its definitely been one of my best of tests this season!
