In this episode, I’m sharing my honest, real-world experience using the Leica SL2 and SL2S for professional commercial photography—and why I’ve decided to move away from the system. As someone who genuinely loves Leica and has used the M10D extensively for my personal and documentary work, I wanted the SL system to work for my professional assignments. But the reality was different.

I put the Leica SL system to the test on a luxury hotel shoot—nothing too demanding—but still encountered major issues: app instability, random focus changes, firmware bugs, and poor ISO performance above 800. That’s a problem when you’re under pressure and delivering for clients.

In this video, I also compare the Leica SL3 vs Sony A7R V, and explain why I’m sticking with Sony for my commercial work moving forward. This isn’t a Leica bash—I still love my M cameras. But I believe pro photographers deserve reliability, not just beautiful design.
