WIR DRINGEN IN EINE DENKMALGESCHÜTZTE THERME EIN - ein jahrelanger Traum wird wahr 🔎 LostPlace Urbex

Heute wollen wir ein wahres architektonisches Kleinod erkunden – eine verlassene Therme. Hier kurz etwas zu ihrer Geschichte:

Zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts beschloss man, das besonders magnesiumreiche Wasser der Stadt kommerziell zu nutzen, indem man ein pompöses Thermengebäude errichten ließ, um Kurgäste aus der ganzen Welt anzulocken. Fast 100 Jahre lang ging das Konzept auch auf, doch fehlende Modernisierungsarbeiten führten schließlich dazu, dass das heute unter Denkmalschutz stehende Bauwerk seine Pforten schließen musste. Seit vielen Jahren gibt es zwar Pläne, die Therme in ein 4-Sterne-Hotel umzuwandeln, doch bisher ist aus diesem millionenschweren Großprojekt nichts geworden.

Wir sind unterwegs, um mit eigenen Augen den Prunk vergangener Zeiten zu erleben und zu bestaunen.

Today we want to explore a true architectural gem - an abandoned thermal bath. Here's a little bit about its history:

At the beginning of the 20th century, it was decided to use the city's particularly magnesium-rich water commercially by building an ostentatious thermal baths building to attract spa guests from all over the world. The concept worked for almost 100 years, but a lack of modernization work ultimately meant that the building, which is now a listed building, had to close its doors. There have been plans to convert the thermal baths into a 4-star hotel for many years, but so far nothing has come of this major project worth millions.

We are on the road to experience and marvel at the splendor of bygone times with our own eyes.
